Sometimes Automating your workload is easier than you think.
What I have illustrated here is a quick fix to automate a repetitive task. In this case the filtered emails on a Linux system had to be tagged and there were over 2000+ of them. This particular problem was an anomaly which I knew has a unlikelihood of ever happening again, so create a solution to a problem which might never exist again is a huge waste of time. Sure I could have written a script, or did something funky with automation software, but sometimes the quickest and simplest solutions are the best. I present to you: iPencil, Eye-glasses cover, iPhone and Coke bottle solution.
This outsourcing allowed me to sit back, take out the iPad and watch the top trending YouTube videos in a category related to one of my projects
What did I learn here: Sometimes instead of spending so much time trying to create a technological solution, bypassing the problem is much nicer, and don’t create fixes for problems hat might never exist. Until Next time. Regard Louis SlabbertFollow me on Twitter
